Value Keepers of the Bible Study Notebook Set or CD-ROM

Value Keepers of the Bible takes a look at forty VALUES exhibited by people in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. VALUES are defined and then reinforced utilizing all three learning styles.

Children will learn about values like INTEGRITY by hearing God’s Word, by seeing videos on how this value is put into practice in a contemporary setting and then by participating in games, crafts and cooking projects to further their understanding of the value.

At the end of each lesson the class is divided into small groups to discuss what was learned and how to apply it to their lives by using the acronym WWJD? By discussing What Would Jesus Do? in a specific situation, children will be reminded to stop and think about what is the right thing to do before they act. They will learn for ACTION steps to help practice this by using the same acronym.

These four steps are:

• What are your choices?
• What does the Bible say?
• Just Ask God!
• Decide your Path.

The final phase of this study is to put each VALUE into practice. A monthly family activity sheet called “Value Keepers Table Talks” is sent home with review questions covering the VALUE, the Bible story and more WWJD? discussion starters. Kids earn “Value Pins” by actively putting each value into practice during the month. The “Book on CD-ROM” 2001 edition includes colorized masters for Value Pin awards.
